SHALIMAR MILLÉSIME IRIS

Shalimar!

The name alone is enough to take us on a journey.
As you know, Guerlain releases a new Shalimar flanker almost every year, and this time the house has brought us MILLÉSIME IRIS.
I don’t own any Shalimar, neither the original nor the flankers, because I find Shalimars difficult to wear, at least for me. I’ve tried them several times, but they didn’t match at all, so I settle for the shower gel, which I love and which soothes me so much.

I’m an iris lover, so I bought them without testing them first, but I don’t regret it. As soon as you open the bottle, you can smell the bergamot, which is very present.
The cuvée iris retains the DNA of the Shalimar fragrance, but is more gourmand, rounder and sweeter than the original.

I fell in love with this fragrance as soon as I smelled it… Perfumes from the Shalimar line are often appreciated for their warm, sensual oriental notes, with accents of vanilla, citrus and floral notes. Shalimar millésime Iris could therefore potentially offer a new interpretation of this classic composition, highlighting iris with modern, refined touches.

For longevity on my skin it can last almost 8h and on clothes you can smell it even 72h later.
i’ll come back to this perfume to give you more details. but one thing’s for sure it’s a beautiful fragrance for anyone who loves sensual and mysterious powders.
