In My Bookshelf: L’etranger By Albert camus 📚
Hi friends, I hope you’re all doing well and coping with this freezing weather. My mood hasn’t been the best without the sun 😉. But with a cup of coffee, a candle, and a good book, I always find my smile again. 😃
For me, The Stranger is a book that leaves a strange, quiet imprint. Following Meursault felt like walking through a blinding light, where everything is stated without emotion yet every word carries weight. What struck me most wasn’t the crime, but his refusal to play the role society expects of him. Some may see him as cold, but I sensed a raw, unsettling honesty. It’s a short novel, yet it made me reflect for a long time on freedom, the gaze of others, and the place we carve out for ourselves in the world.
